Chosen 2019 Pathfinder Camporee

More than 55,000 people from 100 different countries recently made their way to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for the 2019 Chosen International Pathfinder Camporee. Taking place every five years, the International Pathfinder Camporee is the largest Pathfinder-related event of its kind, featuring activities, competitions, exhibitions, worship programs, and more.

For our Pathfinder club, the South Bend Seekers, it was a fun-filled week of earning honors, trading pins, worshipping, and hanging out with old and new friends. Our club was also joined by the group from  Zimbabwe that we sponsored. We had a good time getting to know them and sharing our camp with the group. Before flying home they kindly donated their homemade percussion instruments to our club.

The next international camporee will be held again at Oshkosh in 2024. The theme will be “Believe the Promise.”

Are you interested in joining Pathfinders? Talk to one of our pastors. Pathfinders is for anyone in grades 5-10, but we are always looking for adults who can help teach honors as well. The new year for Pathfinders begins soon. Come and join us!
